There are SO many different affiliate programs to choose from.
In fact this is such an overwhelming part of when you are starting out trying to figure what you want to offer.
When I first go started with Affiliate sales I had the same issue…..I had no idea where to start.
There are Affiliate programs all over the place for every niche under the sun. ClickBank was of the the original major programs. You also have JVZoo and WarriorPlus that are geared towards info products and Internet Marketing
Internet Marketing Affiliate programs:
Physical goods and Company Affiliate programs:
There are more but these are the easiest to join and are free to join.
I would recommend that you sign up for all of them.
** Here is one of the VERY BEST Affiliate programs out there. THEY will train you how to promote their product ==> CLICK HERE
Go through each and see what Affiliate products that you are interested in promoting.
**Remember to first pick something that you are interested in. This way you will enjoy the process of creating the content for your Affiliate website.
I am going to talk about 2 of the programs today even though I have experience with all of them.
- Amazon’s Affiliate program
Sam, what if I am new and don’t know where to start?
Amazon is the easiest affiliate program to get started with. Amazon is a converting MACHINE.
The only work you have to do is to get people to use your information to guide them to Amazon.
Want to make your first Commission with Amazon?
- Create an Amazon Affiliate – > click here to create an account
- Once the account has been created…Pick the most recent book you read
- Take that book and “Get Link” – (Here is the last book I read – Linchpin)
- Recommend the book on your social media
- Be honest about the review and recommend it to your friends.
Amazon’s Affiliate program allows you to promote an endless amount of goods
Pros of Amazon Affiliate
- Unlimited Niches to choose from
- Everyone that shops online shops at Amazon
- 4-6% payout
- 24 Hour Cookie (Customer can buy anything within a 24 hour period and you get credit for it)
- Easy to use
- Done for you ads and affiliate links
Cons of Amazon Affiliate
- Unlimited Niches can make it hard to focus
- 4-6% is a lower commission rate
- Doesn’t pay as well as Sharesale and other Affiliate sites
- Takes time to get traffic built up
- Amazon doesn’t like any tips or tricks to increase your chances…
Amazon’s Affiliate Commission
The percent is anywhere from 4-6%. Which is small, however the volume of products on Amazon you really can spend the rest of your life building websites around products and never run out.
Another benefit of the Affiliate program that Amazon offers, is the 24 hour cookie.
The cookie means that when a person clicks on your affiliate link and browses to Amazon and buys ANYTHING in the next 24 hours you get a commission on.
Make sure that you read Amazon’s terms and conditions as they don’t mess around with people trying to cheat the system.
I am here to help you get started as that’s really the most important aspect.
The Best Affiliate program to get started in my opinion is Amazon but you can also use Shareasale.
The other Affiliate program I use is Shareasale.
Shareasale Affiliate program
Shareasale has some major players that allow you to become and affiliate for their products.
They offer everything….
- Physical Products
- Business consulting
- Learning programs
- Training programs
- Info products
Shareasale’s commission program is decided by the company or person that is offering the product.
You can earn higher commissions then Amazon, however, you have no idea how good the company as converting the traffic you are sending them into paying customers.
My recommendation would to get your feet wet with Amazon and then move into Shareasale.
Shareasale requires you to request approval for the products you want to promote.
Once you show that you know how to build a website, get traffic’s attention in your niche and make commission with Amazon.
The next step would to start working with Shareasale.
As always let me know if you have any questions or comments.
